Like many other Apple products, their display were not the first of their kind on the market, nor they are particularly affordable when they are launched. But the device really came of age as Apple launched the first mass-market widescreen LCD head to consumer on july of 2000. They'd already marketed their own line of flatscreens for years. 1998 iMac

When iMac debuted in may of 1998, Apple wasn't doing so hot. They'd churned to their third CEO (Gil Amelio) since Jobs had been outside in 1985, but recently acquired steve's NeXT Computer, and sat him down once more at the head of Apples table. When Job came back to the driver's seat it's now his time to clean up the house, and those beige box Power macs and performance needed a radical counterpoint.

1995 Power Macintosh

There isn't any hard to get about the power mac 9500. It just merely contained the most muscle and most expandability of any computer Apple ever had unleashed upon the public. Starting out at whopping 120 or 132MHz, the machine eventually ramped up to a photoshop-munching duel 180MHz PowerPc 604 processor before being replaced by better looking and more ambitious 9600.

1991 PowerBook

This is basically apple's first laptop. it is lightweight, well-designed computer as well. but it did not make it. When it was first introduced in 1991, this powerbook sold for $2,500. Far too much for a machine with a 16MHz processor, 2MB RAM and 20MB hardrive. Price cuts the following year brought it to just $1,000 (external floopy drive was for another $250). This technology proved that apple can make a fine portable

1989 Macintosh

The original Mac may have been underpowered but inspired. The first Mac was based on Motorola's 68030 processor, the SE/30 was also capable for using 32MB of RAM, compared to just 4MB in its predecessor. Further models are also based on this design, including Classic and Classic II, used the same processor, but at 16MHz, but they are less expendable than SE/30. This is the reason why it has became popular server platform, and it was commonly available in data centres till 1990's.

1984 Macintosh

The first macintosh was introduced by Steve jobs in shareholder's meeting, really changed the world of personal computers. At that time only GUI-based computers are available and the first mac brought the concept to the masses. And as the original mac was underpowered, containing no hardisk, just 128k RAM, it was overpriced of $2,500. It was cheaper than GUI-driven computers and more user friendly than most other computers.
