The first macintosh was introduced by Steve jobs in shareholder's meeting, really changed the world of personal computers. At that time only GUI-based computers are available and the first mac brought the concept to the masses. And as the original mac was underpowered, containing no hardisk, just 128k RAM, it was overpriced of $2,500. It was cheaper than GUI-driven computers and more user friendly than most other computers.
