1998 iMac

When iMac debuted in may of 1998, Apple wasn't doing so hot. They'd churned to their third CEO (Gil Amelio) since Jobs had been outside in 1985, but recently acquired steve's NeXT Computer,and sat him down once more at the head of Apples table. When Job came back to the driver's seat it's now his time to clean up the house, and those beige box Power macs and performance needed a radical counterpoint.
